System Of A Down and Deftones are set to headline an upcoming concert in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

Produced by Another Planet Entertainment and Live Nation, the event will also feature The Mars Volta, Viagra Boys and VOWWS as special guests.

System Of A Down’s lineup consists of Daron Malakian on guitars and vocals, Serj Tankian on vocals and keys, Shavo Odadjian on bass, and John Dolmayan on drums.

Grammy Award-winning alternative metal band Deftones features frontman Chino Moreno, lead guitarist Stephen Carpenter, drummer Abe Cunningham, and keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado. They are scheduled to take the stage for the first after-dark performance at the Polo Field of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on August 17. Tickets are on sale now.

After hosting daytime concerts for more than five decades, Golden Gate Park is launching its night time concerts this year.

“We are excited to be bringing such an iconic lineup to the city and what better venue than Golden Gate Park,” said Another Planet Entertainment president of concerts and festivals Allen Scott. “We are expecting fans from not just the Bay Area but from across the U.S. and internationally to travel to the city injecting money into the local economy.”

He added, “From hotels to local restaurants and everything in between, this will be a great night of music and a great economic boost for the city.”
