Wu-Tang has officially been immortalized in the city of New York. The city recently designated a section of Staten Island as the “Wu-Tang District” to celebrate the legendary group’s influence and contributions to the world.

Debi Rose, a New York City Council Member who represents Staten Island’s North Shore, released this tweet announcing the change and also explained the decision to honor the group.
“The Wu-Tang Clan District is a celebration of their inspiration to the world — and a celebration of their home, Shaolin,” Rose wrote on Twitter.
Fans of the group were very excited for the change and the residents shared in their excitement.
