CNN’s Don Lemon recently interviewed LeBron James about the school the NBA star had opened for at-risk children. President Trump voiced his opinion about the two in the following tweet:
Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!

It seems Trump was upset due to a statement LeBron gave during the interview saying “What I’ve noticed over the past few months [is] he’s kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that’s something I can’t relate to.”
Unfortunately for Trump, this seems to have backfired on him a bit. The majority of the interview was about the school LeBron had opened. Lemon was quick to point that out with the following tweet:
Who’s the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages? #BeBest https://t.co/XO50qVksnR

The “Be Best” hashtag is the name of Melania Trump’s campaign for children, which teaches kids how to “avoid negative social media interaction.”
Speaking of Melania, he actually tweeted out in support for LeBron. Her spokewoman said “It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today.” She added that Melania had mentioned she would love to visit the school.
And while we’re in the era of pulling up old tweets, it’s interesting Trump would say something negative about LeBron considering these tweets:
