Barack Obama was at a town hall meeting when the discussion of current hip-hop was brought up and he called out rappers for constantly rapping about women and money.
While the former president may be down with hip-hop, he’s not too thrilled about some of the content. During a town hall meeting for My Brother’s Keeper organization this week, he discussed how rappers are constantly rapping about their money and/or women. But, he’s not impressed.
During the meeting he said,
“If you were really confident about your financial situation, you’re probably not gonna be wearing an eight-pound chain around your neck ,” he then went on to say “If you are very confident about your sexuality, you don’t have to have eight women around you twerkin’. You seem stressed that you’ve gotta be acting that way. I’ve got one woman that I’m very happy with.”
He concluded by mentioning that he understands why they rap about it, but that doesn’t mean he’s happy about it.
